The Tourism & Hospitality Association of Guyana is a member of the Private Sector Commission. It is an umbrella body of all Tourism related entities. Members include hoteliers, resort owners, tour operators, travel agents, restaurants, jewellery and craft shops, transportation services among others. This association was formed twelve years ago by a small group of five persons. THAG is also a member of the Caribbean Hotel Association.

The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been in existence since 1889. It is the oldest and most prestigious Private Sector representative body in the country. From its inception, the Chamber was tasked with the promotion of trade and industry at the local, regional and international level.
