Rants
There is always something driving Raval crazy, read what it is this week.
I voted
I just returned from voting. I'm excited about the future of Guyana.
If you're in Guyana I hope you'll get out there and vote. The future of Guyana is on your finger
. Ok that makes no sense but, voting is really important so, turn off the computer and go vote.
Link Show 27
Last night I attented Link Show 27 at the National Cultural Center and I must say I had a realyt great time. It was three hours of non-stop laughter.
Link Show is truly part of guyanese culture and, as a Guyanese it makes you proud to know that we can produce a show of such high quality.
I also must give credit to the cast for their great acting and ability to time their jokes. Timing is very important but not always easy in comedy.
Christmas season flooding – halfway there and still dry
It's December 15, the half way mark, and so far I haven't experienced any flooding. With fingers crossed I hope this streak continues.
This is the first year I can think of that there has been no severe flooding during the year end rainy season.
I can remember all the way back to the days when I attended Stella Marris Primary School when I would be playing and fishing in the flood water.
Longing for the days of Brown Bag Chinese
I'm certain the title of this blog post will conjure up memories that will cause some to smile from ear to ear and, others to drool uncontrollably but, this blog isn't really about Guyanese Chinese from days gone by but it's actually about food containers we used back then and today.
