If you're not in Guyana then, you may not be aware that we are still experiencing the December/January rains and, if you are in Guyana, you're probably cursing about it.
When you live in a country where it is summer all year round the seasonal rain is a blessing.

It's never hard to find a Digicel Top Up spot and this proves it.

Banks Beer Light
While out with friends tonight I discovered Banks D.I.H. now has a light beer. I've never seen Guyana as a light beer drinking country and the fact that light beer is no where to be found seems to back this up however, Banks seems to think otherwise.
Banks Beer Light contains 3% alcohol and comes in a 330ml bottle compared to regular Banks Beer which contains 4.5% alcohol and comes in a 275ml bottle.
Easter is coming
Walking through town one week before Easter and noticed kites on sale. One thing that I have always disliked about our culture is the odd looks someone would get for flying a kite outside of the weeks pre and post Easter.
